Para el record, tengo tanto ascendencia irlandesa como inglesa.
Simplemente simpatizo con el equipo irlandés de rugby, en el que participan jugadores de la República y de los counties del norte (UK). Es el único caso que conozco de selección binacional.
Mi orden de preferencias es
1. Pumas
2. Irlanda
En el fútbol, en cambio, mi orden de preferencias es
1. Italia
2. Argentina
Pero esto es deporte.
Lo importante es competir.

En las presentaciones de los equipos se canta Amhrán na bhFiann (el himno de la República) y Ireland's Call, que representa a las cuatro provincias (La IRFU agrupa a la República + los condados del norte).
Fields of Athenry suele cantarlo la tribuna cuando Irlanda va ganando fácil, especialmente contra equipos ingleses.
Los ingleses para la ocasión cantan Swing Low Sweet Charriot.
